Birthday Week Day 2

All things French may seem a little blasais.  But have you been to Paris?  I have; and it was pretty magical.  I was 17, and my crazy parents let me spend a week backpacking through Europe with some friends.  We got to Paris late at night, dropped our bags off, and headed straight to the Eiffel Tower.  It was glittering, sparkling, and everything magic.  I was barely in Paris for over 24 hours and most of it was standing in line.  I did manage to wonder the streets a bit, and happen upon delicious bakeries, carts selling crepes, and I even managed to get my hands on some quiche.

So basically my take-away from Paris was that this city is unbelievably beautiful and romantic, and I have a bad sweet tooth.

If you are looking for some french macaroons in St. Louis go to La Patisserie Chouquette.

Birthday Week Day 1

My birthday is only a week away.  And here is something you should know about me; I love my birthday and I hate attention. This weird combination usually leaves me filled with an odd tension.  I always look forward to my birthday, dream of all the special treats I plan on giving myself, and usually don't celebrate it with friends.

I think what it comes down to, is that I would hate to appear self-centered.  I don’t want everything to be about me.  I don’t want to be the center of attention for the day.  But I do want to throw a super cute party filled with color coordinated tissue flowers, poms, and desserts!

This week I’m going to do something that I haven’t done since high school…celebrate my birthday week.  For the next few days I’ll be posting birthday cards that I would love to receive!

PS.  This card matches my new blog layout!  Let me know what you think!
