London

After Santorini we spent a few days in London.  The cold weather was welcomed and the fast paced site seeing was thoroughly enjoyed.  My camera's battery died one of the last days of Santorini so the only photos we have of London were the few that I took with my phone.  We had a lot more fun than the pictures show.

London Fashion

Well, of course I'm going to need a completely different look for London... I mean who are we kidding here?
No, I didn't go with the Euro Hard Edge Pop look.  Pleather doesn't breath and neon doesn't look good with my olive skin tone.  I went with the soft muted quite literary look that translates to 90s awesomeness.
I pulled some looks from blogs that I like to read.

This is Pretty Little Pictures.  This photo actually comes from a great blog post all about Neil Gaiman if you are interested.  Anyway  I think in London I'll be wearing vintage dresses with tights and small purses.  I feel like big purses is an American thing.  The British seem more humble with their accessories.

This is HoneyBunny in Wonderland.  I love her little liberty print dress with the tiny purse again and tons of layered vintage jewelry.  Layered vintage jewelry is something I think epitomizes the American perception of the English.  I mean don't all Londoners wear old layered jewelry like the queen?  Of course the answer is no but it's still fun to think about things like the royal fam while on vaca. But to make this October appropriate I would add socks to the shoes and an oversized cardigan (one of my favorite items to wear).

This girl I love.  This was posted on Ill Seen, Ill Said.  I like this so much because it is a mix between London and Santorini!  I mean look at those nautical stripes and that grey sweater.  It is matched so well with the high waisted jeans and that classic chapo.  Belting the oversized sweater is a must for the London crossover and a simple vintage necklace would complete the look.  I love it.  I would just add socks to the shoes again!  I'm thinking I need a hat like that for my trip too.

This is Liebemarlene Vintage.   I like her soft muted lace dress with those oxford shoes.  Oxford shoes; how much more England can you get?  I think I need to buy some before the trip.  It would be so cute with tights and a sweater to make it more October ready.

So basically I would love to have these looks for my London trip! Now I think I need to go thrifting to make it work.

My Greece Wardrobe

Being the fashionista I once was.  I feel the need to have a new Greece wardrobe.  Here is what I already bought for the trip.  Remember it will be fall over there too.  The highs will be in the upper 60s and I'm assuming chilly nights.

I can wear this awesome jacket I was swooning over earlier this year and bought on sale from forever 21.

During Missouri's tax free weekend Brian was buying clothes for his upcoming trip to San Diego and bought me this top from Forever 21.  I love that it is a little oversized and blousey.
He also bought me this hat at forever 21 for $3.50.  Can't beat it.  It's really soft and cute.  I had a navy one I bought a few springs ago but it went missing over a year ago.  I was not happy about that.  I'm glad I have another one.

I would really like something like this sweater from Gap.  It kinda has that "I'm an airplane sweater" look written all over it.  It will keep me cozy and comfy on the plane and then be perfect for an evening stroll on the beach in Santorini with rolled up skinny jeans.

During my stroll I would have to carry these great shoes.  They are Steve Madden that I found on Piperlime.com.  They are a canvas boat shoe.  Perfect for Greece, don't you think?

This little sweater vest is from Anthropologie.  I think it is great traveling item as well.  It would help in dressing down any of your dresses or outfits for the day while adding a cute detail to the ensemble.  I love the neutral undyed look of the fabric.

And lastly, I just REALLY want these boots.  They are over the knee Frye boots.  Of course they are a little out of my budget but they would be a great addition to my wardrobe.  I'd probably wear them everyday of fall.  I love you Frye over the knee boots!  I found these on Piperlime.com.

My Honeymoon

I've been saving my pennies for years, and I mean YEARS.  Because of this Brian and I get to go on an amazing honeymoon.  It's the honeymoon of a lifetime.  We are so excited.  We booked our flights earlier this week and are now looking at some hotels.  So don't fall over; these pictures are of a real place on this earth.  This is where I'm going....

Yep, I'm going to Santorini, Greece!  All those staircases make me want to read, "Oh the places I will go."  I'm just really pumped.

and then we get to go here....

Yep I get to go to London too!  Aren't I a lucky girl?  I'm so excited, there just aren't words to contain my excitement.
