November!

I always feel old when time moves by too quickly.  It's been an amazing fall this year with great weather and many blessings!  I'm ready for the Thankful/Grateful season of November.

Here is a fall themed table scape I did the other day.

My napkins are folded and sitting up in a wire basket that I found in the Target $ spot area.  It was $3!  I feel particularly proud of that this year.  

My favorite part was using my tree slices as a charger.  I used these tree slices as part of centerpieces for my wedding (4 years ago!!) and now they are spread throughout the house with all kinds of things like vases and candles on top of them.

I also always like to add different heights of interest at a table.  So I turned my brass bowl upside down and set up a dessert plate on top.

I love mixing grey/tans/browns/gold/silver tones together.  I think it makes for a warm comforting feeling.

All about that Bass: Part 2

I'm all about that bass....

Well at least the cute paper goods / accessories.  Aren't these printables the cutest?  I'm all about adding to the party.  Get it?

I love excuses to use my tiny vintage plates that never seem practical to use for any occasion.  I guess the non-practicality is what makes them decorative and adorable.

I also like all the possibilities with just a few different paper goods that can be used in so many different ways.

I love this mantra.  I think we could all work a little harder and be a little nicer.  Here is a friendly reminder.

...me time.

I wanted to add, "so back off!" at the end of this, but decided not to.  I'm what most people would call an introvert.  Therefore working in sales can be exhausting after a bit.  I really look forward to my tea breaks at work.  Sometimes you just need to take a moment to yourself and regroup so you can have a better day.  Just give me some really flavorful tea and I can go get after it!

Autumn Weather

I'm so in love with the cooler weather we have been having!  I hope you all are able to get outside and enjoy it!  Go get a spiced latte to motivate yourself!  

Postal Service introduced me to my husband...

Our anniversary is approaching.  It will be 3 years.  I sure love that guy.

We had only one song sung during our ceremony.  That song was Brand New Colony, the acoustic Ben Gibbard version.  We chose this song because, 1. It's sweet and the lyrics are perfect for a wedding and 2. it meant something to us.  

Brian and I had been friends through out high school and we lost touch when he went away to college and left me to finish my last year of high school.  Lucky for us Facebook was invented that year that kept us apart.  On his profile he had those above exact words quoted.  After we rekindled a friendship through a website made to keep people connected; I became a little bold.  I had an inkling that our friendship could grow to be something really great.

Yep, those are real posts between my husband and me.  Believe me, those two 18 and 19 year-olds did not know that five years later they would be husband and wife.  But I'm so glad that they are!

You Are the Best

Sometimes I cheat.  I find one color that I want to use and I go to Color Scheme Designer.   It has all these different options of complementary colors like the ones pictured above.  It makes designing all of these cute little prints and graphic things a cinch.  I bet this would be fun to use when considering interior design as well.
