I'm trying to keep up with a blogging calendar now that I'm doing it a lot more often. Well, of course I had to make a cute calendar that I can actually write on. It helps me process.

The spirit of it all
The older I get the more I like Halloween. Part of it, is having the CUTEST little neighbors and I look forward to them trick-or-treating at my house every year! And now thanks to Pinterest, Halloween decorations are getting much cuter and more in line with my style.
I may be a little late this year, but I'm starting to get into the Spirits of Halloween... Click the links below to download these desktop wallpapers!

All About that Bass Pastel
I know I keep talking about Meghan Trainor's song All About that Bass. I'm working on getting some extra printables to match this as well! So be on the look out there!
The style of her video is so simplistic and fun. The colors are girly and vibrant, so I decided to make a party invitation that has that same look and feel.

Here is a clip from the video...
The color in this picture is some how a little brighter than it really is on the invite. You can see a birthday invite here, and a bachelorette invite here.

Organizing the Spice Drawer
I love the feeling of a new year, full of new ambitions. Why not try to make your life a better, healthier, happier one. Even if you don't succeed on a specific goal, at least you are trying to improve something!
....all that to say, so many of us try to organize and simplify things in January. I am starting out with my spice drawer.
Well, actually, my husband started this project. He just couldn't take it one day and decided to label all of the spices in our drawer. This is when I found out that I buy repeats of spices because I can't find them, or remember if I bought a replacement or not. ....so 4 jars of curry later I decided to help.
I made these really simple labels for the top of our spice jars. They are 1" in diameter. I found this fits most of my spices perfectly! You can download your own blank labels here!
I printed a sheet of the labels at home. I don't have a laminator so I put the cut circles in between two pieces of packing tape and trimmed the rest. I used double-stick tape to adhere the circles to the spices. This way I can transfer the labels when I buy new bottles!

Doesn't that look so much better! I can tell you my husband was more excited than I was for this DIY organization project.

Recipes
Sometimes it's nice just to have a handwritten recipe from a friend. A little piece of that friend's long family tradition can now be yours and passed along to more friends.
I was asked recently for a copy of my favorite dessert my mother often made for us growing up, Pumpkin Dump Cake. I wanted to give it to her on one of those cute recipe cards I remember my mom having a ton of. So I made my own.

If you want the best pumpkin dessert ever, here it is! Try the above recipe.
