We are well into June and that means we are well into wedding season.  I love getting to celebrate with close friends on their big day, and I of course enjoy a party and reason to get on the dance floor with my favorite partner.  Here is what I’ll be wearing to the next wedding I attend…

Religion? Fashion?

There is a new trend of quartz crystal necklaces.  I've actually seen a lot of these necklace that involve bullets too.  I think they are cute.  But as a church staff member's wife I asked Brian if wearing New Age crystals was okay?  I don't want people to think I'm something I'm not.  Is this just conservative behavior for no reason?  Even though I really like this trend.  I don't think I can do it.  Does this sound like a Pentecostal that wants to wear braids?  Does it matter either way?  Do people judge others by what they are wearing?  Just something to think about.

My Poor Boyfriend

So I like to think that my home style is simple and sophisticated like this....

But I keep buying or making stuff like this...

What's wrong with me? My poor boyfriend is never going to want to live with me and all of my weird crap! Ugh What's a girl to do?

You may be reading this and thinking it's silly. But I'm seriously concerned. I'm not concerned about my boyfriend really, more about myself. I don't want to have trinkets in my home. I don't want to have a rainbow of pillows. I don't want my house to look like my grandmas. I don't want to be shabby chic. I just buy things that I think are too cute to pass up and I end up with this crap. I'm 23 years old. I'm seriously having a style identity problem. I love my little birds, chandeliers, and crochet stuff.......

Martian Child

I've been taking a break from my Project lately and doing things that I really love. This would be stalking craftster.org. I came across this today and decided to make one of my own. I walked out the door went to Walmart and bought two dollar fabric. I came back home stuck in Martian Child and started to cut and sew.

It is a convertible dress, sometimes called an infinity dress. It is basically a circle skirt with two long straps that you can tie any way you want.

This is me in the dress and I'm wearing it crisscrossed in the front. (Martian Child is on the TV in the background)
