Something Blue Bridal Shower

I had the most amazing Bridal Shower last summer.  I thought I would share some of it here.  For all of the pictures check out my sister Laura's Flickr.

I got to keep those blue shoes!  How lucky am I?

For the activity we had these 'design a wedding dress' kits.  All of the guests got one and made wedding dresses for the paper dolls!

We had such creative guests and some great looking paper dolls!

All the guests were invited to wear blue to the party!  It was so festive to have everyone participate.

The girls also decorated with pictures from our engagement.

Here is a picture of me with my three bridesmaids Laura, Emily and Ashley who threw me this awesome shower!  They are amazing.  All the food was homemade, the kits were DIY, the invitations were made by them.  They are such pros!  I've never been to a more beautiful party.  Thanks again!  I love you girls.

BLUE PEOPLE!

While I was growing up my dad loved to watch twilight zone, Hitchcock, and other sci-fi/mystery programs. One day my dad and my sister watched the Twilight Zone about the blue people. The premise of this episode is that "blue people" have to set up every minute in time. They have to create it. So the "blue people" know that at 9:03am I will be walking into my bedroom after breakfast, so they only set up my bedroom, putting everything into place. Sometimes the blue people run out of time and not everything that was supposed to be put in the room gets there.

So this would explain why sometimes you look EVERYWHERE for something (say your keys) you walk out of the room and come back and they are lying on the table. That's when you blame the blue people.

Even though I have never seen this particular twilight zone blaming lost things on the blue people is a common occurrence in my family. I think Emily has even blogged about this too.

So I lost my favorite headband months ago. I knew I had left it in my car and then never saw it again. So then today I found it right next to the seat belt! Stupid blue people!

I have also been missing my favorite hair clip with feathers ever since Thanksgiving!! I'm waiting for the blue people to catch up with me.
I'm just hoping today is the day they put it where I last saw it, in my closet. I would then have no more beefs with the blue people.

Publicity

I read a ton of blogs. "Modish: the blog" is an awesome one that features a lot of indie designers. It also has a monthly giveaway of tons of cool stuff, like the above picture. Maybe you notice the little lady I call winter in the bottom corner...That's right, I submitted a finger puppet for the giveaway!

New Project: Day 1

I'm starting a new crochet project. I want to see how long it takes me to finish it. You can see it come together, if you want.

I'm sure you all really care about crocheting. I know, my life is soo exciting, but I like it so OH Well.
