A-Z

I'm working on making something more out of  my A-Z blog posts.  Here is some background if you don't know what I'm talking about.

My last summer of college I lived in a 5 bedroom house and all of my roommates were gone for most of the summer.  I got pretty lonely and bored.  I decided to do a series of something to keep me motivated and give myself a goal for the summer.  All previous summers I had always picked up a new hobby.  That summer I decided to crochet finger puppets; one for every letter in the alphabet.  I then took pictures of them around town and made up little personalities for them.  It was really fun.  I'm trying to expand on that a little bit.  I'm not sure what exact road I'm going to take, but I have something in the works....

I read a ton of blogs. "Modish: the blog" is an awesome one that features a lot of indie designers. It also has a monthly giveaway of tons of cool stuff, like the above picture. Maybe you notice the little lady I call winter in the bottom corner...That's right, I submitted a finger puppet for the giveaway!

marathon runner Ed

here is Ed in his brightly colored track suit.

There is Ed, running further than you can.

Last Sunday I was planning on rooting on my Sister and BFF as they ran a half marathon. There was only a tiny problem, Tropical Storm of IKE got in the way. So little Ed slept in and went out to breakfast with the warriors instead.

Zachary

Zachary is a nudist.

Yolanda clubs

Yolanda clubs. Yolanda tends to make a dancing fool of herself.

Yolanda volunteers at the local nursing home. Her favorite time to volunteer is during Monday Night Bingo.


Yolanda attends St. Mary's Catholic Church. Yolanda is very religious.

Xavier

Xavier is a student studying performing arts. He is currently in a play titled Sparta.


Xavier's part is Soldier #3. If Soldier #2 gets sick, Xavier gets to say his line.



Xavier loves the stage! He loves everything about theatre including his costume. If Soldier #2 gets sick, he also gets upgraded to a sword.

Wayne Willington

Wayne Willington is a politician/superhero who is currently running for office. He pledges to fight white collar crime.


Here is Wayne in front of one of his campaign posters. He is not only advertising his candidacy but also what his logo would be if elected as a Superhero.


Woah, it got a little windy. Wayne better fix his hair. His hair doubles as a helmet when he fights corporate crime.

Violet you're turning Violet!

Meet Violet. She embraces her name is often caught wearing violet much like the strapless dress she has on now.


Violet loves to craft. This is her with her sequin box. She uses sequins to make her brooches and bows.


Violet has a lot of art supplies. She often draws in her journal some new craft ideas.


This is Violet's etsy store*. She has just started selling her wares. She is considering making this her full time job.


We all wish Violet the best in her new endeavors.

Ulric the wolf ruler

Ulric is a college football player.


Ulric is so excited for the upcoming season that he goes to the stadium everyday fully dressed and visualizes himself scoring touchdowns.


Ulric has been counting down the days until he plays the first game of the season in Houck Stadium. It is 37 days. Incidentally that's the same day as his 22nd birthday.


Ulric took off his helmet because he was sweaty. This picture is very similar to his official football portrait.

Tabitha

Tabatha's deep blue eyes aren't filled with tears. Her blue tear is just makeup, her favorite accessory.


Tabitha's favorite band is Dashboard Confessional. She likes to wear black and would have dyed her hair black as well, but she loves her natural highlights.


This is Tabitha's myspace profile picture. She writes sorrowful blogs about how much her life sucks.


Tabitha is actually a cheerleader and she LOVES it. She just likes emo music and the identity that goes with it.

Spencer

Spencer is too cool for school. He just decided he would drop out of the 4th grade and become a rock star.

Ever since Spencer got a mohawk 3 weeks ago he started acting like a rock star. He wears low rise tight pants and a skinny tie everyday.


Spencer was too cool to let me follow him around for the day with my camera. He just let me take serious, straight faced photos against the wall.

Rain

Rain was born, raised and currently lives in trees. She respects nature.

Rain has never set foot on the ground. Her boyfriend Nehemiah comes to visit her when he is off duty.


Rain has learned to climb to the tips off branches to study and nurture new specimens.


Rain has learned how to jump from tree to tree to get where she needs to be.

Quinn

Quinn is an avid musician.


Quinn has been making his living as a lounge piano player for over half a century.


Quinn may or may not have been a close friend of Marilyn Monroe.

Quinn has been all over the world and enjoys traveling.


Quinn is going on a cruise to the south pacific soon.
