Madewell is HERE!

Did you guys know that a Madewell has opened in Frontenac Mall?!?!  This is no joke guys.  I've been stalking Madewell for a long time--always too fearful to buy a brand online that I had never seen in person.  Well guess what?  Now I can walk across the street from my job and waltz myself straight into the Madewell store in person!  I can't believe it.  Above are some of my favorites right now... and yes I would wear all of that together... and yes it would totally rock.

Target Does It Again

A friend at work turned me on to the instagram account, TargetDoesItAgain.  It couldn't be worse for my wallet.  Everybody loves target, people who say they are too cool for it are lying.  Those snobs love to drink the coconut flavored LaCroix and eat the delicious Target snacks.  The rest of us love everything else about target.  Here are some things that I've got my eye on.  

I will have those pendant lights.  I love them, so.

H&M Home

There are a lot of new things happening in the retail world, especially in St. Louis.  

1.  Today was the first day for the new outlet mall in Chesterfield and it has a Restoration Hardware Outlet store.  (what the what?!?!?)

2.  St. Louis just opened their first West Elm store.

3.  H&M finally launched their online store!

4.  With the new H&M online store came an H&M home line. (what the what?!?!?)

I found this really fun shopping app a few weeks ago.  It's set up so well!  All you need to do is list the item you want to sell at a price you'd be willing to give 20% off the top away.  When someone buys it, you get emailed a free shipping label.  (You can get free shipping packaging from usps.com.)  There are no returns.  It's the most hassle free shopping app I've ever seen.  I'm loving it!

boutique splurge

I recently took a little trip to San Diego.  I can't help but check out the local boutiques to get some ideas.  While shopping I visited a little boutique named Vocabulary.  I walked away with this necklace.  It is now fondly referred to as my fox necklace.  I love it.

It was my birthday present to myself.  Yep I'm now officially in my upper 20s.

Purchases

Working in retail is no good for my bank account. Good thing I work at one of the cheapest stores in the mall. ... or is it? Sometimes I wonder if I buy more because everything is just so cheap. Oh well, here is my weakness....

I've been getting really excited about fall lately. When the store first opened we had these boots. I wanted them but didn't get them. A few weeks ago we got a cheaper made version of these for $10 more! But what do you know...the better pair from April came in on Friday. Now they are in my room.


Check out the fancy inside. The other pair that was $10 more had an acetate lining!
Because of the new floor set I have a different section in the store. My section shares the same space as the accessories shop. So I bought some jewelry too. I think buying jewelry might be a regular occurrence now (I hope not).So I bought these gold rose earrings in silver too.I bought these bigger earrings because they remind me of the costume jewelry my grandmother and great grandmother have. Now I can wear these instead of the ones my mother inherited and not feel bad because they cost $5.80.


Lastly I bought this dress to wear to Brian's brother's wedding. It's apart of the newest line at XXI called twist.

Vintage Thursday

So while I was with Betty yesterday we also went shopping! I got this awesome dress and this green suitcase. The dress fits me really well. It buttons up the back with quarter sized white buttons, and it has pockets! I'm also wearing a belt that was my grandma's and vintage pearls from my great aunt Irene. The suitcase is actually in really good condition, the lining is intact and a bright green silk. I love it! So here is my Sally Jane Vintage inspire photo shoot.
